Pokerstars $25,000 PL Omaha Hi/Lo Tournament

This tournament runs every Sunday at 2:45 pm ET and has a direct buy-in of $215.

Players start with 3000 chips and the blinds go up every 15 minutes. The total prize pool tends to be in the $32-37,000 range, with 160-185 players. This generates a top prize in the range of $7200-7800. Anyone making the final table can expect to make a minimum of $1000 or more. Play Now.

Satellite tournaments start for as little as $10+1 in cash, or 1500 Frequent Player Points.

The $10+1 satellites are rebuy tournaments and players start with 1000 chips. You can rebuy another 1000 chips for $10 as many times as you like before the first break. Players must have less than 1000 chips in order to rebuy. There is also a $10 add-on available during the first break, good for an extra 1500 chips. These are turbo format, with blinds going up every 5 minutes. One player for every $215 in the prize pool will wins a seat into the event.

There is also a $27+2 freezeout satellite available. This tournament gives players 1500 chip starting stacks and the blinds go up every 10 minutes. One player for every $215 in the prize pool wins a seat.

If you’d rather not use cash, try the 1500 FPP satellite tournaments. One out of every nine players in the field will win a $215 seat…not bad for just 1500 FPP’s. These satellites give players starting stacks of 1500 chips, and blinds go up every 5 minutes.

Pokerstars $20,000 PL Omaha Tournament

This tournaments starts every Sunday just 45 minutes before the hi/lo event (2:00 pm ET). It has the same $215 direct buy-in, and generally has about the same number of players & prize pool as the hi/lo event. The structure is the same as the hi/lo event as well, with 3000 chip starting stacks and 15 minute blind levels. Also like the hi/lo event, there is a $27+2 satellite available with the same structure. There are no $10+1 or 1500 FPP satellites available, but there are a couple others instead. A $36+3 satellite is run where players get 1500 chip starting stacks and the blinds go up every 15 minutes. One player for every $215 in the prize pool wins a seat into the $20k event (basically one out of every 6 players).

There is a $55+1 FL Omaha Hi/Lo satellite available for this event as well. This is a hyper-turbo tournament where players only get 500 chips to start, and the blinds go up every 3 minutes. Although some luck is needed, better than one out of four entrants will win a seat for the $20,000 PL Omaha tournament.
